Certainly, in relation to the educational field, we have been talking in the last decades about offering a qualified teaching instruction. Nonetheless, it is important to keep in mind than either every educational institution or ourselves as educators, have got different ways of understanding what qualified instructions really implies. “We cannot continue wasting resources because of the pursuit of qualified education, promoting anti-values and neglecting what really matters to human natural essence: The Understanding and Meaning of Life” (Francisco Gutiérrez Pérez, 2011, pag. 13) For this reason, we as a community of learners have decided to have the following action statements for 2025, taking into consideration our continuous improvement process:
At Saint Mary community, we visualize the quality education we do offer to our students from different components:
We will always need the pedagogical part in order to improve quality education. In addition to that, it has been said that: “Circumstances are unfavorable. This is why we need to tackle the challenge for language improvement from various angles. It is clear that we cannot ignore the highly importance of pedagogical aspects in the quality learning process. This is my thesis”. (Hugo Assmann, 2002, pág. 24). What still matters in education is to make emphasis on the development of intra-personal, interpersonal skills and our connection with the environment. This is where we as educators should focus on. Therefore, from my personal experience, every time I do my planning and share it with my students, I feel the need of reflecting on my pedagogical practice in order to identify success and opportunities for growth thus making a rooted education targeting true learning experiences.
